Henare O’Keefe is a humble and caring man who has dedicated his life to helping others. For many years he has proactively worked against violence in New Zealand, spearheading practical initiatives to build community, championing social growth, and reversing negative stereotypes.
Known for his community generated projects and volunteer work, specifically the time he has spent reintegrating inmates back into the community, the hundreds of families he and his wife Pam have fed and the 200 children the couple fostered. He now travels the country visiting schools and communities spreading his message of love.
Now a Hastings District councillor, Henare is known as the “International Ambassador of Love”.
Join us as Henare talks about his remarkable story, the work he has done for Hastings and New Zealand and how he continues to be a community leader. Followed by afternoon tea this event is not to be missed!
