As Ryman’s very first retirement village, Woodcote Village holds a special place in the hearts of residents and the wider Ryman family. Co-founder Kevin Hickman even lived on site during construction, bringing his vision to life and shaping the warm, welcoming village residents know and love today.
Whether you’ve lived in the Hornby area for years or have recently moved here to enjoy your retirement, it’s easy to stay connected to the routines, clubs, and activities you love.
There are plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded people in our friendly community. From regular outings to a full calendar of optional activities, there are many ways to stay as active and social as you want.
For everyday convenience, The Hub Hornby is a four-minute drive away, and has a wide variety of shops, cafés, restaurants, and essential services. Even closer is Matatiki Hornby Centre – a modern community hub just a three-minute drive from the village. It combines swimming pools, a library, café, and council services, all under one roof.
You can choose independent living in a townhouse, or if you’d like a little extra support, we offer assisted living in a serviced apartment.
Our independent and assisted-living residents live in spaces designed to inspire, indulge, and entertain. Assisted living in a serviced apartment offers the benefits of independent living with added support to make life easier, including housekeeping and delicious chef-prepared meals.
To retire with confidence, you need financial certainty. We're transparent about our costs, offering options to fit your ideal retirement lifestyle. No matter which option you choose, you'll know exactly what you're paying and what you'll receive in return.
Ryman's standard deferred management fee (DMF) is calculated at 30% of the entry price.
You can choose between fixed or indexed weekly fees which are set at the time of signing your agreement. Indexed weekly fees are linked to the annual increase in superannuation.
