MAKE A VISIT TO NURTURE A CONVERSATION
Gathering together during the holidays can lead us to notice changes in our loved ones and their needs, especially if there has been some time between visits. Starting a conversation about care isn’t always easy, but like many things, sometimes you just need to take the first step.
To help nurture those conversations, we invite you to see inside your local Ryman Care Centre where a tour will give you first-hand experience of our village community and how we are pioneering care. Our care options include the extra support of a serviced apartment, resthome, hospital and specialist dementia care.
Date: 17 January | Time: 1pm-4pm |
You’re invited to a free seminar offering expert advice and information about trusts,
enduring power of attorney (EPOA) and how they protect you and your family.
Presented by Nicola Patterson from Nicholsons Lawyers, this seminar will provide
guidance on the upcoming changes to trusts and electing the appropriate EPOA who will act on
your behalf should you become unable to make decisions relating to your assets and personal care.
We will also ensure there is time for questions, which is a great opportunity to obtain
some free advice. This will be followed by afternoon tea.
Date: 18 January | Time: 2pm |
Jean Sandel Village offers living choices to suit everyone, so residents can live the way they want and blaze their own trails. Our apartments and townhouses are light and spacious, with clean lines and a clever open plan design layout that provides an easy flow throughout.
If down the track you need more support, we offer assisted living in a serviced apartment and a full range of care options. That freedom and flexibility is empowering for residents and knowing care can be dialled up as needed means, quite simply, ‘no worries’. It's all part of what we like to call the Ryman Difference.
Our pioneering approach to retirement living includes resident-friendly terms designed to protect you and your family. Our base weekly fee is fixed for the entire time you occupy your apartment or townhouse*, and our deferred management fee is capped at 20 percent – one of the lowest in the retirement sector.
These are just some of the ways we’re pioneering a new way of living for a new retirement generation.
*Some conditions apply.

Care is not an ‘add on’ at a Ryman village, it is built into the fabric of our villages from the very beginning. It’s comforting for couples and friends to know they can still be near each other even if their health needs are different.
Jean Sandel care centre offers a full range of care options including resthome, hospital and specialist dementia care. Like all aspects of our villages, we constantly look for ways to improve both the care we provide and the innovation behind it. Care is customised using our myRyman care app and residents love the food in our seasonal Delicious menu, which is prepared fresh on site by village chefs.
Jean Sandel is one of over 80 percent of Ryman villages that have been awarded 4-year certification by the Ministry of Health. It’s recognised as the ‘gold star’ standard in care.
Personal attention, warmth and building trusting relationships are all crucial to the customised care we provide at our care centres.
