Turmeric Latte

This season, swap out your morning coffee for a satisfying spiced turmeric latte. Filled with warming spices, this drink delivers a much-needed boost to rise from bed on chilly mornings. A natural anti-inflammatory that’s healthy for the heart, turmeric is a popular health ingredient. When enjoyed as a treat in latte form, it doesn’t disappoint.


1½ cups milk (your preference)
¼ tsp ground turmeric
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp maple syrup
½ tsp vanilla extract
Optional: freshly grated nutmeg or powdered cinnamon, to serve

Place the ingredients in a pot and whisk consistently over gentle heat. Once the mixture is hot, remove it from the heat and blitz it with a stick blender to achieve a delightful frothy consistency before serving.

If you have a milk frother, you can use that to create your latte foam.

While still hot, pour the latte into mugs and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg to serve.

There are endless ways to tweak this recipe to suit your preference. You might brew with a cinnamon stick for a spice infusion, add brandy for a milky spice drink with a twist, or swap the maple syrup for honey. Let us know when you’ve mastered the perfect blend.
