WHAT IS THE MEASURE OF A FULL LIFE?

Sleepover at nans

Mary Soole enjoys a healthy dose of competition. She laces up her court shoes and heads to the local tennis club every Tuesday and Friday. And from all reports, “it’s very serious stuff on a Friday!” Not one to sit back, tennis isn’t the only game Mary plays – she also swings the badminton racquet on a regular basis.

Family is Mary’s other great love. Her crew is 46 strong including nine grandchildren. And again, she’s actively involved. “All the modern things we’ve got today – mobile phones and such – my family has made it their business to teach me. So that’s how I keep in touch.”

Staying current and being part of the action was what drew Mary to Ryman’s Keith Park Village. Her village lifestyle gives her the time and energy to take off and enjoy active pursuits. While offering a bustling family atmosphere when she’s home. Of course, optimal apartment positioning helps… “I'm a nosy nana and you can see things from up here!”

Naturally, the Keith Park team has become an extension of Mary’s own family. She’s on a first name basis with everybody. As she explains, “the village is very family oriented. I didn’t have to work hard to feel comfortable. I was settled in very, very quickly.”

Mary takes every opportunity to get involved. Whether on the tennis court, staying connected with friends, and spending time with family at home. That is Mary’s measure of a full life.
