WHAT IS THE MEASURE OF A FULL LIFE?

TREATING YOURSELF

Wendy is a self-confessed social butterfly. A regular at both the Glen Waverley and Highton bowls clubs, she enjoys being surrounded by friendly, sociable people.

That’s why Ryman’s Charles Brownlow Village was at the top of her retirement living list. First, Wendy wanted to be in a community that she already knew and felt comfortable in. Second, “the bowls was a major draw!” Wendy explains that “there are a lot of bowlers from Ryman at Glen Waverley and Highton, and they all wear their shirts with pride.”

When she’s not on the green, Wendy fills her diary with village activities and social events. She enjoys being busy. It keeps her on her toes. “I like to be active whether that’s with bowls, going to the gym, or heading out for social occasions. It’s good to have something to look forward to each day and to keep mobile.”

Lucky for Wendy, there’s always something new and exciting on the go. “We head to a winery or a pub. We explore an art precinct or a garden. It’s good to be able to experience new things and go on outings that you enjoy.”

Unsurprisingly, the village happy hour is a weekly highlight for Wendy. “I like to mix and mingle with lots of different people. I have my bowling group and others too, so there’s always someone to catch up with at happy hour.”

Wendy loves being social. She enjoys catching up with her friends at bowls. Heading off on excursions to new places with new experiences. And meeting people over a laugh and a drink. That is Wendy’s measure of a full life.
