Shona McFarlane Retirement Village Market Day

It was a very successful Market Day this year with 20 stalls and a profit of $2856, with proceeds going to our charity, St John. Our stalls were selling jewellery, white elephants, cakes, books, crafts, stained glass eye catchers, soaps, gifts, tupperware, cards, underwear, sauces, baby hats & booties, licorice, sweets, jams and sachets.

Forthe first time we tried a sausage sizzle which was very successful. Our residents had been having craft evenings to add to the sales tables. The raffles did very well also. We had Norm playing the accordion in the background which enhanced the mood of the shoppers and the staff were very busy serving Devonshire Teas.
