We started our busy month of April with a fun filled trip out for lunch and to movies to see Beauty and the Beast.
The care centre loaded into the vans heading to Upper Hutt. We started with a tasty lunch which consisted of savouries, hot chips, meat balls and fish bites.
We then arrived at the Montery cinema where the staff were very helpful with removing chairs so our wheelchair residents could fit with comfort. Our eyes were glued to the screen as Bella and the Beast thrilled us with the classic fairy tale of falling in love. We enjoyed the singing and the amazing special effects. In the end there wasn't a dry eye in the room.
We all headed back to the village, with a smile on our faces and a feel-good feeling.
