Shona McFarlane would have been proud of her namesake village when the new Ryman by Annah Stretton uniforms were modelled by staff recently. In her stained glass artworks and paintings Shona made abundant use of bright colour and flower and the new designer uniforms are reminiscent of some of her paintings.
Clinical manager Dorien Preston was so pleased the new uniforms: "have made people smile; the relatives, the residents, the staff are smiling. Isn't that magical? The colour and style suits all of us and it fits with Rymankind."
Renuka Grounder, assistant to the manager loved the fit, the colour and style of her new uniform.
"The fabric is much lighter and feels wonderful. You feel fantastic when you wear it," she said. "I went to the BP as I usually do to fill up the car dressed in my new uniform and the lady serving me told me I looked fabulous and wanted to know where I got my outfit from! That was the first day I wore my uniform and it made me feel very special."
