A very special day started with us celebrating Easter with a festive lunch. The tables were dressed with white table cloths red serviettes, red and white helium balloons and Easter eggs. The food was delicious and everyone could not eat another morsel.
The afternoon was a time to remember our brave men and women who died or suffered in the great tragedy of war. Our service was taken by Major Peter Chrisensen from the Salvation Army. Participants were Major Joe Serevi from the Salvation Army and Rita Angus Independent Apartment Resident Colin Calvert.
The pianist was LorrianeDe Maine and the last post was played by David Howan. This was a very touching service and residents wore their medals with pride. The afternoon ended after Happy Hour and entertainment.
