Rita Angus Retirement Village Children's Party

Recently we held our annual children’s party. This year the theme was the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The activities team and manager also dressed up in costume, Village Manager Tracey as Alice, Sue was the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts was Karen.

Chelsea dressed up as the Cheshire and the playing card was care assistant Jimmy. The atrium was decorated with helium balloons and hats.

The residents, staff and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren allhad a ball of a time. We started off with the children being entertained by Harriette the clown, who was so much fun. She made balloons for all the children and they then played pin the tail on the rabbit.

A delicious afternoon tea followed including cupcakes, fairy bread, assorted sandwiches and a variety of other tasty treats. Drinks included juice, jolly drinks and water. All the children had ice blocks and small bag of sweets.

I am sure the children and residents slept that night after this entertaining afternoon!
