Dulcie Liesnham, a very special lady in our Care Centre, turned 100 recently! We had a wonderful party with family, friends and residents. There were flowers, balloons, cards and delicious chocolate birthday cake (and the letter from the Queen). Dulcie’s son and daughter told us of the wonderful times they have had with their mother through the years.
Prior to Dulcie’s arrival at Ernest Rutherford she enjoyed country life, coming from a farming background in Southland and Nelson. Dulcie was a wonderful gardener and her knowledge of plant life has been invaluable to our village flower show.
Dulcie’s hobbies and interests are reading, music and she has been involved in church fellowship.
