Hospital residents enjoy garden outing

The challenge was to identify and name as many flowers as they could. Staff had organised with family members who were going on the outing to help and support with this trip. They were lucky that Nelson put on its usual show of beautiful weather and they all congregated at the gates of Queens Gardens. Before setting off on their adventure and they came across a bridge, which proved to be a challenge in itself.

Once they managed to get to the top, everyone decided that this would be a perfect spot to feed the ducks. The gardens had also put on their own obstacle course which included us having to go through a stop and go sign, uneven ground, which proved quite entertaining to go along, causing a lot of laughter from everybody as bodies were bobbing around. After completing the challenge, a group photo was taken and an amble around the rest of the gardens before heading home.
