We had a very busy time leading up to Christmas. Our group have had special outings to Taradale Rose Gardens, feeding the ducks in the park, a trip to the fire station, to a private residence for a Devonshire Tea and a night drive to see the Christmas lights of our town.
At the village we made our own Christmas cake, and we all stirred the cake to make a wish. We iced the cake and enjoyed eating it with the families at our carol singing night. The animated Christmas toy day was also a great hit with the residents.
A motor mower engine has been acquired for the men to tinker with and it is used regularly. The trip to the fire station was a real treat for the men. We have laughed a lot and enjoyed each other’s company.
We are looking forward to more good times in 2014.
