ANZAC quilt

Resident Nic Dempster started this quilting project in 2012, prior to her move to the village, however due to severe sudden loss of sight she was unable to complete it.

With ANZAC fast approaching staff at Yvette Williams offered to assist Nic to complete by threading the needles for her and this enabled Nic, aided with her magnifying glass, to finally finish what she started.

The quilt tells a story - the group of poppies represent a Canadian family and the unopened pod signifies the loss of a young son during the war.
