Woodcote Retirement Village Wearable Arts

Bubble wrap, tin foil, string, plastic bags, knitting wool, an old bedspread, pieces of string, wire, scraps of material and many more handy items and bits and pieces from around the home were put to good use in the Woodcote Wearable Arts Show.  The residents were thrilled to view a collection of ‘designer garments’ made and exhibited by the rest home staff.  There was a black plastic bird that caught the early worm, a white plastic Polynesian Princess with an intricately woven cape made from good old plastic bread bags, strange creatures from out of the ocean, a plastic clad Policeman chasing a couple of hilarious bumbling crazy plastic clowns, a tin foil clad robotic activities team from the future, four seasons in one days outing to the seaside, two dancers trying desperately hard to hang on to their 7 recyclable veils..!  What a great time was had by both models and the residents viewing the fun event.
