Christchurch experienced a few really hot summers days lately – 30 and 32 degrees!
We all agreed it was nicer to sit outside in the Woodcote gardens than inside the resthome building itself.
What a wonderful opportunity to get out the petanque set and play a few singles games.
Some residents came to watch and others came to play. Either way, it was a great time had by all.
Two of our visually impaired ladies did exceptionally well playing singles. As a matter of fact, Pat Gray, in the photo, was our singles champion!
The players were cheered on by the crowd and cold water, lemonade and cordial was flowing freely.
