The crew from Margaret Stoddart were joined by two of their residents in a storming catwalk session modelling their new uniforms by Annah Stretton.
There were 20 first-time models and even the village cat Jade got into the swing of things, modelling a pink bow.
Long-time resident Joe Peri got the event off to a flying start with a dawn blessing for the uniforms and a waiata before the show.
Village Manager Maria Warriner said it had been a nervous few days waiting for the big show, but the uniforms were worth the wait.
Front of house Val Goulding liked the colour most of all.
"It's nice and the whole uniform is a lot more comfortable to wear.''
Senior caregiver Beck Little said she loved her new uniform.
"It's nice and airy, it's comfortable and fits really nicely. It is completely different to the old one. It's brightened up the whole resthome, there were lots and lots of smiles today.''
