ANZAC Day Commemorations
Our ANZAC service on Friday 24 April saw residents, families and friends join together to celebrate and remember 100 years on from the Gallipoli campaign. Warren Read led the service after our Anthony Wilding Service Men filed in and laid the wreath. Our Service Men were commemorated in a special book published for the occasion. Our grateful thanks go to Alan Dawson, Dick Perry, Allan Reynish, Evan Williams, Jack Marshall and Sam Pilbrow who were all present for this memorial.
Barbara Thomas and Nicky Stanley delivered stirring readings and the current winner of the French/New Zealand speech competition delivered this to make our service a memorable one.
Having our whole facility together to commemorate was a special occasion. ANZAC biscuits with a cup of tea followed the service along with the amazing Starlets entertaining everyone. Thank you for supporting and joining us.
