'It's so beautiful' says Joy

Joy Whitehead is certainly living up to her name after moving into her new apartment at the new Logan Campbell village this morning.

The former Mt Roskill resident was ready to move in bright and early this morning (Friday) along with a small army of helpers - her sister Liz and brother-in-law David and friend Tricia - with all agreeing her apartment was ‘absolutely fabulous!’

“I didn’t think it was going to be so beautiful,” said Joy, admitting she’d found it hard to leave her home of 27 years.

“I’ve been looking at the plans for so long it’s so nice to see it for real.

“I’ve noticed lots of little details that are nice surprises, like the wide window sills. I can put all my trinkets on them!” she laughed.

Joy had chosen a corner apartment which looks out on a beautiful landscaped garden from both sides with the added bonus of some tropical planting behind the boundary fence!

Within minutes she had her first visitor – Marion Garlick from upstairs who moved in yesterday and popped down to say hello. The pair know each through a mutual friend.

Marion said her and husband Murray had had a great first night in their new apartment and were ‘overjoyed’ to be in the village.

“Murray is just beside himself he’s so happy,” said Marion.

Sales Advisor Lucy Caldwell said hearing such feedback made her feel quite emotional.

“It’s so gratifying to hear. This is the reason why we work as hard as we do, this is the result we want,” she said.
