Plans for our annual village picnic to be held at Mission Bay were distrupted by bad weather, due to the inclement weather the decision was made to move the picnic to the village centre. The team quickly converted the centre to a beach/picnic theme for all residents to enjoy. There was hopscotch drawn on the carpet, ball games and other activities for residents to participate in. It was great to see the staff joining in and having a great time with the residents.
While all the fun was taking place the bbq’s had been fired up and the sausages cooked by the able chefs of the day – the Village Manager and Assistant Village Manager, Arthur & Chantelle. Along with the bbq fare there were the usual picnic treats of sandwiches, chips, lollies, and cakes. The feedback from all who attended was that it was a really fun and enjoyable time and they appreciated the effort that had been put into the day.
