Our Mid Winter Solstice dinner was once again a wonderfully successful night. Our evening commenced with lots enjoyable conversations over bubbles or a beautiful mulled cider, while Max Purdie added a lovely ambience with his piano music. We decorated our dining room with all the rich colours of Autumn and introduced a new menu differing from the usual “Mid Christmas” fare. The Seafood Chowder, Lamb Shanks and Steamed Pudding were a huge hit with everyone and our chef received great compliments for days after.
It was very special seeing everyone truly enjoying each others company, atmosphere and the great food offered, and all left wondering if this was the best Mid Winter yet perhaps?
