A Royal Wedding... what an exciting excuse for a huge occasion! At Grace Joel we decided that the nuptials of William and Catherine was something that required maximum celebration.
Our Comminuty Centre was transfored into a High Tea venue fit for royality, dressed in satin and lace with beautiful flower arrangements, tiered cake stands and our residents looking amazing in their finest wedding guest attire. We were even fortunate enough to have a few "dignitaries" attended in their Top Hats and Tails together with regal adornments.
The Queen herself even made a special appearance! The wonderful "Silver and Strings" played an extended period as there was too much dancing to be had by the guests for them to stop after an hour.
Our residents requested "God Save the Queen" and were all standing and in fine voice. Canapes and cucumber sandwiches were top class and a sample (of what we are sure would have been the Royal Wedding Cake!) was passed round to finish off a fabulous wedding celebration and one that was the topic of conversation for days.
