Mother’s Day is a time where we can say thank you to our mothers for all their care and support. This celebration always provides pleasure to our residents and allows them to reminisce with their loved ones.
On the 8th May the special care unit celebrated their first high tea at the Bruce McLaren Village. It was a pink party and mothers were invited to attend with their families. The special care staff had prepared food and table settings. The residents had a great day enjoying famous music, dancing, eating and drinking. It was a wonderful time for laughs, chats and creating memories.
Celebrating special events such as Mother's Day helps keep our residents busy, and gives them a chance to share memories with one another and boost their self-esteem.
