All Auckland villages
We wanted to get in touch to let you know what the Government’s decision to reduce the COVID-19 alert level down in Auckland means for our Ryman communities.

From Thursday February 18 Auckland moves down to Alert Level 2, which means we are able to ease the restrictions we have in place.

While there is COVID-19 in the community, it looks contained and the signs are encouraging.

Thanks for hunkering down and following the rules since Monday – this has been a big help for our teams.

The next Government review is expected on Monday February 22, but we will be in touch sooner if anything changes.

From first thing on Thursday February 18 the following measures will be in place at our Auckland villages:

For care residents and families, and serviced apartment visitors:
Our care centres are open to visitors again, but we will limit visits to half an hour and visitors will be required to wear masks.

Visitors will need to check in as usual and fill in our health declaration, and it remains critical that you postpone your visit if you are unwell at all are suspect you have COVID-19 symptoms.
Visitors are also welcome to our serviced apartment residents, but we ask that you check in at reception and wear a mask. This is because of the proximity of our serviced apartments to our care centres.

For independent residents:
Our village centres will be open again and events will be returning.

We will be observing the Level 2 protocols, which means following social distancing guidelines, and events will be limited to up to 100 people.

Our village teams will let you know what the programme is.

Thanks once again!

We will be keeping a close watch on developments, and you can be reassured we will be in touch as fast as we can if anything changes.

In the meantime, we’d like to remind you of the steps you can take to help:
- Please wash hands regularly, this is the best defence against the spread of viruses.
- If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, please get a test.
- Please use the COVID-19 Tracer App and enable the Bluetooth function.
- Please do not visit any of our villages if you are unwell at all. Postpone for another day!

Thanks for your cooperation as ever. We hope this is a short-lived change and we can return to normal. We will be back in touch after the decision on Monday, and sooner if necessary.

Kind regards,

Gordon-MacLeod-1
