Ryman Healthcare COVID-19 update | 14 February

All Auckland villages
Dear residents and families,

We wanted to update you following the new cases of COVID-19 in the community in South Auckland and the Government’s decision to put the Auckland region into COVID-19 Alert Level 3 until midnight on Wednesday February 17.

We will be closing our care centres and serviced apartments to visitors from tomorrow morning, and our village centres will also be closed to all activities for the time being.

Our team members will be wearing masks again as part of the precautions.

Visits for residents in palliative or end-of-life care will still be permitted, just get in touch with our team to make arrangements.

For our independent and serviced apartment residents, we ask that you stay home and follow the Level 3 guidelines.

The rules under level 3 are pretty simple – stay home in your household bubble and do not visit anyone else.

The best thing you can do to help is to stay put for the next few days at least.

As we did during the previous lockdowns, we will deliver you anything you need urgently – just
let us know!

COVID-19 symptoms

We know you’ve probably seen this before, but a reminder that the symptoms to watch out for include:

  • a cough
  • a high temperature (at least 37.5˚C)
  • shortness of breath
  • a sore throat
  • sneezing and runny nose
  • temporary loss of smell
  • conjunctivitis

If you have any of these symptoms contact your GP or call Healthline on 0800 358 5453.

Please make sure you get tested for COVID-19 if your GP recommends it.
