Resident food & essentials update | 7 April 2020

Written by David King
on April 07, 2020

Thank you for your continued patience as we bed-in the new personal grocery order service offered by Bidfood.

We apologise to those residents who received incomplete orders last week.

Bidfood has advised that there will continue to be times when certain items run out

If an item you order is not available at the time of delivery, it will not be supplied and you will not be invoiced for it.

Who knew that everyone in New Zealand would want to start baking again at the same time!

A reminder that this week is Easter. This meanthe usual Friday delivery will be on Saturday, April 11, due to the public holiday.

Click here for the updated Bidfood order form for deliveries on Wednesday, April 15 and Friday, April 17.  This includes additional items which have been requested by residents.

Please note, as Monday is a public holiday, the deadline for orders will be this Saturday, April 11.  Please ensure your order forms are in the village order form drop box by 12 pm on Saturday, for delivery on Wednesday.

Alternatively, you can place an order by 12pm on Wednesday, for delivery on Friday.

Bidfood will continue to provide more items as they become available and these will be added to your updated weekly order form.

Frozen meals

We have received many requests for frozen meals and almost have these ready to go.  You can expect to see a range of meals available on next weeks order form.

Countdown Online

Countdown continue to offer Priority Assistance ordering on their website.  If you would like to consider this as an option, please visit their website:

Beer, wine and spirits order form

This week you will receive an order form for a selection of beer, wine, and spirits from Wine Central.  An order form will be included in your happy hour bag.

Please place your completed order form in the same dropbox as your Bidfood orders.  These must be received by 12pm every Sunday.  You will receive delivery of your order on or before Friday.

Orders will be invoiced to residents by Ryman Healthcare, in the same way as the Bidfood orders.  You will not be required to supply proof of age!

You also have the option of ordering online, which provides residents with greater choice.  Please visit the Wine Central website https://www.winecentral.co.nz/collections/ryman for several
different options and specials for Ryman residents.   When completing your order online, please enter the code RYMANFREESHIP for free delivery.

Continence products order form

We have arranged supply of continence products for our residents to order at the village.

An order form will be included with your happy hour bag this week.  Please put your completed form in the usual order form drop box (the same box as your Bidfood orders) and the village team will arrange a delivery to you.  For privacy reasons, you may wish to put your order form in a sealed envelope.

When your product is delivered, we will include another order form for any future orders you need to make.

If you need another form in the meantime, please contact your village reception.

Orders for continence product will be invoiced to you.

Thanks for your patience!

We’d like to thank you again for your patience as we get our systems up and running. We have had a great response to the Bidfood service, and thanks for your feedback and hints for improvement.

Remember our aim is for everything you need to be delivered to you.

This is so you do not have to leave the village and can stay safe.

To paraphrase the Prime Minister, stay safe, stay at home and let us get the groceries to you.
