Covid-19 update for Auckland residents and their families
This is a quick note to let you know that Happy Hours will make a welcome return to the village centre this week.
These will be limited to 100 people at a time and everyone will need to be socially distanced – but it will be good to have everyone back together again!
Our thanks to our teams who have delivered 12,000 Happy Hour in a Bags since the latest restrictions were introduced in August. It has been a superb effort and thanks to you all for your patience.
To celebrate our return to relative normality at Level 2, and to anticipate our eventual return to Level 1, we will be providing each of our households with a $50 Ryman ‘Share the Love’ Prezzie Card voucher.
We know that you all will be longing to return to your local shops – and we also know that each village’s local businesses have been finding it tough under lockdown, so we’d urge you to spend locally.
It is our way of celebrating all the good work that has been done to keep everyone safe and supporting the wider community.
You will be able to collect your voucher later this week from reception. They should be available to pick up from October 8.
And don't forget to book your table at your favourite restaurant! Let's make it our job to keep those local businesses busy!
Thanks again for all your cooperation during Level 2.
We’ve included a reminder of the ongoing restrictions below.
Have a great week.

The Level 2 restrictions in place at our Auckland region villages include:
For care centre visitors:
- Please check in at reception, fill in the usual health declaration and take a mask for your visit.
- Check in with the Government’s COVID-19 Tracer app.
- Follow the appropriate hand hygiene and social distancing requirements at Alert Level 2.
For serviced apartment residents:
Visitors are welcome – but we ask that visitors to serviced apartment residents check in at reception, fill out the health declaration and wear a mask.
For independent residents:
Our village centres are open to activities for 100 people or less, and with appropriate social distancing.
Village hairdressing and beauty salon services are open, with one client at a time and social distancing and masks required.
Morning and afternoon teas and Happy Hours are back, but with the three ‘S’ guidelines in place - single server, seated and separated.
Our van outings, including shopping visits, are back with social distancing and a maximum of five residents per outing.
If you have to leave the village, we recommend that you practise social distancing and wear a face mask. It is now compulsory to wear a face mask on public transport.
We have good supplies of masks, just ask at reception if you need one.
We encourage residents to keep a log of visits and to use the Government’s COVID-19 Tracer app.
