Please join us for an exciting performance by the Andrew London Trio.
Their brand of swing music evokes the ‘Great Gatsby’ and ‘Rat Pack’ eras where ‘Swing was King’ and they also delve into country, jazz and folk genres to find long-forgotten gems that spark an unexpected nostalgic nerve.
We look forward to seeing you there.

Bob Owens Village offers living choices to suit everyone, so residents can live the way they want and blaze their own trails. Our apartments and townhouses are light and spacious, with clean lines and a clever open plan design layout that provides an easy flow throughout.
If down the track you need more support, we offer assisted living in a serviced apartment and a full range of care options. That freedom and flexibility is empowering for residents and knowing care can be dialled up as needed means, quite simply, ‘no worries’. It's all part of what we like to call the Ryman Difference.
Our pioneering approach to retirement living includes resident-friendly terms designed to protect you and your family. Our base weekly fee is fixed for the entire time you occupy your apartment or townhouse*, and our deferred management fee is capped at 20 percent – one of the lowest in the retirement sector.
These are just some of the ways we’re pioneering a new way of living for a new retirement generation.
*Some conditions apply.
Enjoy all the upsides of living independently in a Ryman village. Easy living, security, plus a huge bonus – the support of a vibrant village community.
Serviced apartments come with support you can count on. A chef-prepared meal, housekeeping – it's great for you and reassuring for your family.
Community is central to the lifestyle so we offer amenities that encourage that sense of togetherness, such as a dining room, bar, hair and beauty salon, and shop.
Retirement is a great time to sharpen your skills on the passions and pastimes that you love. Spend time enjoying the movie theatre, pool table and library.
Incorporate regular activity into your everyday routine or enjoy the camaraderie of a little game time. Amenities include a swimming pool, spa pool, gym and bowling green.
Care is not an ‘add on’ at a Ryman village, it is built into the fabric of our villages from the very beginning. It’s comforting for couples and friends to know they can still be near each other even if their health needs are different.
Bob Owens care centre offers a full range of care options including resthome, hospital and specialist dementia care. Like all aspects of our villages, we constantly look for ways to improve both the care we provide and the innovation behind it. Care is customised using our myRyman care app and residents love the food in our seasonal Delicious menu, which is prepared fresh on site by village chefs.
Bob Owens is one of over 80 percent of Ryman villages that have been awarded 4-year certification by the Ministry of Health. It’s recognised as the ‘gold star’ standard in care.
Personal attention, warmth and building trusting relationships are all crucial to the customised care we provide at our care centres.
Nurturing and caring dementia care communities. Residents are supported to live in the moment, and to feel kindness, love, and security.

Walk the famous base track of Mauao (Mount Maunganui) and take in the views across Tauranga. If you are feeling a lot more adventurous take the summit walk and take in the entire Western Bay of Plenty.
That’s why each Ryman village is named after a Kiwi or Aussie trailblazer. Anthony Wilding, Lady Diana Isaac, Evelyn Page to name a few. They lived with passion and purpose, they pushed further, they went beyond the ordinary. That’s exactly what we strive to do every day at Ryman. To pioneer a new way of living, for a new retirement generation.
One of New Zealand’s most renowned businessmen, Sir Robert (Bob) Owens, is largely credited with the mid-century development of Tauranga and the Port of Tauranga.
A true pioneer, Sir Robert was highly influential in the growth of New Zealand exports. Having emigrated to New Zealand in 1953 he began a small business which grew to become the Owens Group, one of Australasia’s leading transport logistics companies covering 38 companies and representing Mitsui OSK Lines in New Zealand.
His service to the Tauranga community included serving as a Tauranga City Councillor, Mayor of Tauranga, and Mayor of Mount Maunganui Borough. Sir Robert continued to influence the growth and development of New Zealand transport on the Bay of Plenty Harbour Board from 1962-1988, as Director of the Port of Tauranga in 1988, and as Chairman of Air New Zealand from 1981-1984 where he restored the nation’s trust in the company following the Mt Erebus tragedy of 1981.
Having been inducted into the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame in 1996, Sir Robert became a Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 1997 in recognition of his services to New Zealand.
