Welcome to Retirement Village. We are thrilled to have you join our team and help us provide the best possible care to our residents.
Your first day will start at 8:30am so we would like you to come straight to the front reception area where you will be greeted and introduced to the person who will help to orientate you.
This day will be all about meeting the people you will be working with and become more familiar with our processes. Our aim is for you to feel safe and supported while caring for our residents and becoming part of our team. You will receive an email that will take you to your first induction booklet on line that you will need to complete with our help, and you will also be required to do a training session on safe handling.
If you drive, please park off site. Please also bring your lunch although we will provide you with tea and coffee or water if you prefer. Wear comfortable, tidy clothes.
We expect that you will be finished by 4:00pm on your first day.
Your orientation to your shifts will occur after your induction day and will be with a buddy. These shifts will be the same as those you have written in your contract. You will be buddied for about three shifts dependent on how well you go before you work a shift on your own.
