Ryman Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Marsha Cadman as Chief Experience and Engagement Officer.

Marsha will return to Ryman after a 10-month hiatus pursuing other opportunities. Previously she was Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, leading the function across New Zealand and Australia.

Marsha will report to Group CEO Richard Umbers and will sit on the Senior Executive Team.  She will lead the development and execution of Ryman’s Customer Value Proposition as well as overseeing Group Marketing, Sustainability Strategy, Clinical and the Group Procurement function.

She has extensive experience in senior leadership roles across customer engagement, strategy, marketing and sustainability, including as Group Manager Customer, Strategy and Marketing at South East Water in Melbourne and General Manager Strategy, Customer and Sustainability at Waste Management New Zealand.

Ryman’s current Chief Experience & Engagement Officer, Mary-Anne Stone, has made the decision to retire after 28 years in leadership roles across the healthcare sector, including 12 years with Ryman in various senior leadership and executive roles.

Richard Umbers said, “We’re delighted to welcome Marsha back to Ryman. She is already an experienced member of our executive with a highly relevant skill set and deep knowledge of our business, which gives me great confidence as we move through our strategy re-set.”

Richard expressed his thanks to Mary-Anne for her extensive contribution to Ryman. She joined as a Village Manager in 2006 and held national leadership roles in Operations before leaving for a period of career development and then re-joining in 2020 as Chief Strategy Officer. Through the pandemic she provided continuity as Interim Sales and Marketing Officer and Interim People and Safety Officer, before establishing the Experience and Engagement team in her most recent role.

“I’m very proud to have worked with this wonderful company that has always provided leadership in our sector. I know I leave a skilled Ryman team, passionately committed to delivering on our purpose and creating value for all our stakeholders into the future,” said Mary-Anne.
