$5 donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ for every attendee!
One of New Zealand’s most well known rugby players, Sir Wayne Shelford, is one of the toughest men ever to set foot on a rugby field. Famously known as ‘Buck’, he has had an extensive rugby career, debuting for the All Blacks in 1986 against France. Wayne appeared in 32 matches (13 tests) for the All Blacks and held captaincy from 1987 until 1990 when he was controversially dropped despite being undefeated in 14 tests.
Wayne’s strength in the face of opposition was not only demonstrated through his rugby career, but by his toughest opponent to date, cancer. Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2007, Wayne endured intensive chemotherapy for 6 months and is now in remission. As an ambassador for the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ, Wayne utilises his platform to advocate for men’s health and share about his fight for life.
Join us for a morning with Wayne as we hear insights from his rugby career and the importance of looking after our health.
