Shona McFarlane hosted a ‘Games Day’ with guests Malvina Major this month. The games though friendly in nature brought out a keen competitive spirit between the teams. With twenty players, and variety of games including petanque, target shooting and bowls played on a ‘Round Robin’ basis, the teams battled and tested each others skills for over one and a half hours.
Shona McFarlane Retirement Village Concert by Tinakori Handbell Choir
A concert by Tinakori Handbell Choir treated everyone in the community lounge to a fabulous hour of music. The choir’s deft skills rang out popular tunes with clarity and fire, filling the concert room with harmonic sounds.
Shona McFarlane Family Fun Day
The sun shone down on Shona McFarlane’s village for their Jan 26th Family Fun Day. So much to see and do and laughter and aplenty. The bouncy castle, proved a great favourite as did the children’s face painting.
Shona McFarlane Retirement Village Cross Hill Garden
Bus outing at the Cross Hills gardens at Kimbolton. We left our village at 9.30am and arrived at the garden at 12.30pm. Some residents went straight for the famous garden tour while others went to have lunch in the garden cafe.
Shona McFarlane Retirement Village Olympic Games
Coinciding with the London Olympic Games, Shona McFarlane Serviced Apartment’s team recently challenged Malvina Major’s residents to a ‘Games Day’ involving among other events, pistol shooting, archery, floor-darts and table football.
