Rowena Jackson Retirement Village New Bowling Green
Our brand new all weather bowling green is now up! We look forward to many upcoming tournaments on our new green, and our village residents are very excited. Pictured: Village Resident John Tait having a bowl on the new green.
Rowena Jackson Retirement Village Mid Winter Lunch
There is nothing better on a chilly Southland morning to sit down and dine on ham, turkey, roast vegetables, pavlova, trifle and plum pudding! The dining rooms were decorated in black and white, some with balloons, some with snowflakes and some with masks for residents to wear.
Rowena Jackson Retirement Village Ukuleles Popular
You are never too old to learn a new skill and this is very obvious with the Rowena Jackson Ukulele group. The townhouse residents, six players and one singer, now regularly perform around the village. Group founder, Anne Baron, learnt to play the ukulele as a teenager and has now encouraged five others to take it up.
Rowena Jackson Retirement Village Rock n Roll Show
When we’re not out we have plenty of entertainment. One of our most popular is our very own Rock `n’ Roll team Colleen (our hairdresser) and her husband Grant. At their most recent display they included some of their students (some as young as 7) and they were a joy to watch.
Rowena Jackson Retirement Village Mother's Day Afternoon
Here in the Salisbury Wing we enjoyed a wonderful concert for Mother's Day by Rowena Jackson's very own choir. We all then enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea together, reminiscing about Mother's and what being a mother means.
