Mid Winter Feast
It's the middle of winter in Invercagill, the frost is so thick it looks like snow, our breath comes out like fog and we are wrapped in scarves and gloves! Are we cold and miserable? NO! There are many activities that keep us smiling and warm – most especially our Mid Winter Feast.

Pool Party
With all our renovations our pool had been out of action for quite some time, we welcomed it back with a Pool Party, not many swimmers but plenty of spectators and a lot of fun was had by all!


Rowena Othlie Jackson was born in Invercargill on 24 March 1926, the daughter of William Ernest Jackson and Lilliane Jane, née Solomon. She was educated at Epsom Girls' Grammar School, Auckland, and in 1941 won the first Royal Academy of Dancing Scholarship in New Zealand.
