Princess Alexandra Retirement Village Mid-Winter Solstice
The mid-winter solstice was celebrated with a mix and mingle for the townhouse residents and a mid-winter lunch for the serviced apartment residents. We also had several visits from the pre-school children at Lollipops Educare who come to sing songs to us and share their art work.
Princess Alexandra Retirement Village Royal Happy Hour
Sometimes we don’t need much of an excuse to celebrate and this year we decided to really celebrate our Queens birthday with a royal happy hour. We were very, very lucky to have a live band playing and a visit from the birthday girl herself who came wearing her royal robes.
Princess Alexandra Mother's Day Expo
On Mother’s Day we held a ladies expo afternoon where guests were greeted with a glass of bubbles to enjoy as they toured the stalls. In the early evening, guests gathered for nibbles (and more bubbles) and enjoyed a fashion show of Black Pepper clothing, modelled by some lovely residents.
Anzac day is always a special time in our village. This year as well as a very moving service, we were lucky enough to have a visit from the preschool called Lollipops. The children made poppies for each of the residents to wear.
