Grace Joel Retirement Village Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal

Like everyone in New Zealand, Grace Joel residents and staff were very affected by the earthquake in Christchurch and wanted to show support and assist in someway.

We came up with the idea of an Auction Night and with the help of some truly generous and wonderful local buisnesses, our regular suppliers and our lovely residents themselves, we were donated lots of amzing items, products and vouchers.

Gift baskets and items were auctioned off through silent and live auctions, under the guidance of a highly entertaining "auctioneer" who kept things fun and lively. Along with wine, great nibbles and alot of eager bidders, this was a great occasion within the Village and all were extremly happy to be able to help this very worthy cause.

The final total raised for the Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal was $7615.50 which was a truley wonderful achievement.
