Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village Highlights

We celebrated Prince William's and Princess Katherine's royal wedding with a special high afternoon tea. Each department decorated their area fit for an English wedding. Staff dressed up as royal personnel and played out a skit. Apartment residents also had a fish n chip tea.

Many residents celebrated Mother's Day with a special afternoon tea outing. Some residents went to Spring Fern and some to Tahuna. Residents were each given a handmade mother's day gift.

Alzheimer’s Day was remembered with a blue theme afternoon. Residents wore a handmade blue item, and talked about all things blue, and talked about all things blue, and shared some blue songs. A coin trail was also used to raise money for the Arthritis society.
