It was an early start with morning wake up calls taking place at 5.45 am. With a bit of shuttling to and fro we managed to all get to the train station just on time. We boarded the train at 7.00am and headed off on our trip to Kaikoura, it was lovely.

September is a great time for getting out into the sunshine . This Spring we went to David Bell Daffodils in Leeston. When we left Anthony Wilding it was a howling Norwest wind but luckily when we got out to the Ellesmere district it was quite calm and sheltered.

Anthony Wilding Retirement Village Olympic Games

We celebrated the Olympics in style here at Anthony Wilding.  We spent the day setting up a course for the residents. Upon arrival, residents were put into teams of four and had badges each, according to which country they were competing for.
