Activities Antics at Princess Alexandra

Life at Princess Alexandra continues to be a whirlwind of activities, outings and good times to be had by all. Outings and special events continue to be popular and we certainly do not have a shortage of these events.

Jim Joll and Debbie Dorday provided us with an evening of music and hilarity that had the residents (and staff) rolling in the aisles. We were also fortunate to have 2 of the candidates for the local government seat come and speak to us about themselves and their parties in respect to the election. These were well attended by residents who found the information very helpful.

Over the last few months residents have enjoyed Fine Dining (pictured above) with absolutely scrumptious food. December was a particularly busy month, as the preparations for Christmas were underway. We were also fortunate enough to have many groups from the community visit and perform Christmas carols for us. We also had a very special visit From Nelson Park

Primary school, who performed a Nativity Play with their school choir. All who attended this concert were blown away by the incredible talent we saw. Of course, the major highlight for December was the Residents Christmas lunch. Santa arrived on a mobility scooter and had many young ladies cueing up to sit on his lap and receive their gift. Mother Christmas and her fairies and elves were also in attendance to spread Christmas cheer.

January and February also involved a lot of exciting happenings for such a short month. A beach themed happy hour and a trip to the Wairarapa to watch the air show were amongst the highlights along with our gorgeous Childrens Party already featured. The next few months promises to be just as exciting and we look forward the many events in store.
