Care Centre

Although we offer extensive "lifestyle" services, the central core of the Village is the Care Centre (resthome and/or hospital) that provides 24 hour backup care for the residents of the Independent and Serviced Apartments.
Every Ryman resthome and hospital employs Registered Nurses, and there are experienced caregivers on hand at all times.
Medical Practitioners, physiotherapists and podiatrists visit the Village on a regular basis.

Resthome
Resthome level care in a Ryman Village, offers residents the very best in clinical care, while receiving the benefits of living in our warm and welcoming community.
Residents have private rooms, with modern decor, private ensuites, and televisions. The rooms are spacious and overlook beautiful landscaped gardens and internal courtyards.
There are dedicated activities staff whose role is to provide daily activities and entertainment for resthome residents, so there is always something going on enabling residents to maintain active lifestyles and enjoy the companionship of other residents.

Hospital
Our Hospital residents enjoy the benefits of living in a warm and welcoming Village community, while recieving the very best in clinical care from our friendly team.
The rooms are warm, spacious, with private ensuites and televisions. The rooms overlook the beautifully landscaped gardens, courtyards and atriums around the Village.
Activities staff provide the Hospital residents with an activities and entertainment programme, enabling residents to maintain an active and social lifestyle.

Respite Care / Short Term Care
Ryman Healthcare Villages welcome residents who require short term care, respite care and day care, for any number of reasons.
Perhaps their family or carer is planning a trip away and they require professional care in their absence? Or someone is having surgery and is requiring short term care in their recovery?
And yes, we welcome subsidised residents!
Our short term care residents receive all the benefits of living in our warm and welcoming community, while receiving quality care from our friendly team.
We have been working closely with health professionals and can provide an emergency respite Community Bed, to assist those that may need an immediate, short-stay placement for a variety of reasons.  
We also offer a quality Day Care programme for those who might just need assistance during the day.

Specialised Care
In some of our Villages, we also offer a specialised care unit for residents with Alzheimers.
Our professional nursing team provide the very best in trained clinical care, enabling our residents to enjoy the benfits of living in our warm and welcoming Village community.
